Here are some of the hunting programs we offer!

Baying

Teach your dog to Bring to bay Large Predators or Game (bear, large cats, hogs, etc)

First- WHAT IS BAYING? Baying is using physical posturing, movement, and vocalizations to control large game or stock. Examples are cow dogs, or sheep dogs herding large number of sheep.

The art of baying combines all of these physical behavioral provisions, but largely relies on the dogs consistent barking and eye contact (perceived intimidation) as well as core stamina, control, and quick reflexes.

Second- WHAT IS THE GOAL TO BAYING? A good bay dog will take a physical hit from aggressive game or predators, but never use his mouth to latch onto the game or to wound or harm the game.

A well trained bay dog will be able to control the game from a distance, without getting too close, and will avoid physical altercation with the target at all costs.

A BAY dog needs to keep the target still for his hunters, and needs to remain a safe distance enough to assess the target and react carefully in tense situations. A reliable field dog, hunters will attest, can save your life.

GOALS-Train your dog to seek out, locate, and bring your game or target to a non-violent stop for capture or extermination.

Call us today so we can discuss your dogs breed, your preferred game for training and the level of activity you will be training your dog for.

Treeing

Bring rodents, varmint, or large predators to rest in a tree for capture or extermination. Train your dog to seek out, locate, and successfully flush your game into the trees for capture or extermination.

Tracking

Tracking/Game Location/SAR/Nosework Training – Teach your dog how to successfully use its nose to locate wounded game, specific game or targets, or lost and missing persons.

Training your dog to use its nose effectively can fulfill a multitude of uses. From hunting, to searching for missing persons, tracking wounded game or locating a bad guy for law enforcement uses, learning to use your dogs nose to your advantage can only be beneficial.

Trash Breaking

Teach your dog to follow specific scents only- and to actively avoid other scents.

Teach your dog to ignore the smell of game that you are not hunting… That’s like a police dog of chasing a person because they are a person, instead of the bad guy!

Trash breaking can be beneficial as well for helping SAR And law enforcement in identifying the most important scent for the job.
